Providing Everything You Need

Future Rights courses , feed into the ELEVATE Learning Approach and are part of a broader effort to rethink how learning and resources are accessed and shared.

Across the humanitarian and human rights sectors, many grassroots organisations — particularly those led by young people and communities directly affected by crises — face significant barriers to accessing funding. Those closest to the issues are often the ones with the least access to resources.

At Future Rights, we believe that funding and learning should empower, not exclude. As part of this approach, our courses are delivered through a crowdfunding initiative that aims to make practical, relevant learning more accessible while supporting the sustainability of this work.

At the same time, we recognise the increasing funding constraints affecting both grassroots actors and organisations like ours. We are therefore working to navigate these challenges through a solidarity-based, contribution model — balancing accessibility with sustainability and mutual support.

From Data to Use: Foundations of Information Management for Grassroots Action

Are you collecting data-but unsure if you are doing it safely and effectively?

Grassroots and local organisations are often expected to provide evidence.Yet many are not supported to:

  • Protect community members when gathering information

  • Use data to influence decisions

  • Turn lived experience into credible advocacy

  • Build internal skills without technical complexity

As part of our Evidence and Lived Experience learning journey, if you are interested to know more watch on our youtube channel the free orientation 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗔 𝗧𝗢 𝗨𝗦𝗘: 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗦 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡, delivered in collaboration with Daunia Consulting
A 2.5-hour session, that explores:

  • Safe and ethical data collection

  • How information connects to real decisions

  • How community knowledge already counts as evidence

  • A skill development pathway tailored to grassroots realities

DESIGNING ETHICAL, SAFE AND EFFECTIVE DATA ACTIVITIES (DESEDA)
A practical course for grassroots organisations and NGOs

This course is about:

  • Planning

  • Designing

  • Implementing

  • Analysing

  • Using data in real situations

In collaboration with Daunia Consulting, it is designed to guide you through the full process of designing a data activity — from the first question to the final use of findings.

Rather than working with abstract examples, you will apply each step to practical scenarios and gradually build your own approach. Each session introduces key elements, which you will immediately test, adapt, and refine through exercises and discussions.

You will also learn alongside others facing similar challenges, creating space to exchange experiences, compare approaches, and reflect on what works in different contexts.

By the end of the course, you will have developed a structured and practical data activity that you can adapt and use in your work.
